1. Product Overview The Auma SA series electric actuators are multi-turn electric actuators developed by the German Auma Group, specifically designed for industrial valve automation control. Suitable for applications such as switch gate valves and ball valves, the SA series is widely used in power, petrochemical, wastewater treatment, and other industries, thanks to its modular design, high-precision control, and excellent reliability. After the 2025 technical upgrade, the SA series supports the intelligent control unit ACV.2, enabling variable-speed regulation and soft start/stop functions, which significantly enhance valve lifespan and system energy efficiency. Its core advantage lies in the ability to combine with linear units (LE) to form linear actuators or pair with explosion-proof control units (e.g., SA Ex) for hazardous areas, meeting diverse requirements.
2. Key Features
High-Precision Control The proportional controller continuously compares command signals with feedback signals to achieve precise valve positioning, with a sensitivity ≤1% and nonlinearity error ±1%. The ACV.2 intelligent control unit supports variable-speed adjustment, dynamically optimizing operating speed to reduce mechanical wear.
Wide Torque Range With a torque range of 10-32,000 Nm, it meets the driving requirements of valves of various specifications. Optional gearboxes expand application scenarios. The motor uses a three-phase squirrel-cage asynchronous motor with Class F insulation, featuring high starting torque and low inertia.
Intelligent Diagnostics & Communication Integrated with communication protocols such as Profinet and MODBUS, it supports remote monitoring and data analysis. Fault early warning detects anomalies in advance, reducing downtime. The ACV.2 unit also enables synchronous operation of two actuators for complex system coordination.
Robust Design The enclosure offers IP67 protection (IP68 optional) and corrosion resistance up to C5-M/C5-I standards, suitable for extreme environments from -30°C to +70°C. The worm gear drive mechanism features self-locking to prevent coasting, extending service life.
Modular & Flexible Built on a unified modular design, it allows quick replacement of control units or functional upgrades. The motor-integrated control unit AUMA MATIC includes a local control panel, supports local/remote switching, and provides multiple interface configuration options.
