Product Overview
The DVC2000 digital valve controller is a communicating, microprocessor-based current-to-pneumatic valve positioner. It converts a 4-20 mA control signal into a pneumatic output to drive a single-acting pneumatic actuator. The unit retrofits easily in place of existing analog positioners.
The linkage-less feedback system uses magnetic sensing technology — no mechanical contact between the valve stem and the controller, so there are no wearing parts. The instrument has a local user interface with a multilingual LCD that allows configuration, calibration, and tuning directly at the valve. The two-stage positioner design provides a mechanical platform for responsiveness to small input changes and tighter process control.
For advanced diagnostics, ValveLink software can test the entire control valve assembly without disrupting the process, helping pinpoint problems before equipment fails. An optional I/O package includes two integral limit switches and a stem position transmitter.

Application Industry
The DVC2000 is used across chemical, oil and gas, refining, pulp and paper, power, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and other process industries. It handles flow, pressure, temperature, and level control applications. The compact size and simple setup make it well-suited for standard control valves with short strokes and routine procedures.
Common Problems
Instrument will not communicate: Check available voltage. Confirm terminal voltage is within the 9–32 VDC range and inspect wiring connectors on the printed wiring board.
Flash ROM Fail: Restart the instrument. If the failure does not clear, replace the printed wiring board assembly.
Valve does not respond to control signals: Check pneumatic connections and supply pressure. Verify that the function block is in the correct mode.
Display shows alert symbol ⚠️: The DVC2000 self-diagnoses continuously. Check the alert record, which stores up to 20 alerts from Valve Alerts or Failure Alerts groups.
Replacement Models
The DVC2000 is a standard control valve positioner. The DVC6200 can directly replace the DVC2000 in many applications — they belong to the same product line and share compatible mounting. The DVC6200 offers advanced diagnostics and linkless feedback for critical control valves, while the DVC2000 remains a practical choice for routine applications. For cross-vendor alternatives, verify mounting, travel range, and communication protocol before ordering.
