Product Overview

The Fisher DVC6200 digital valve controller uses HART communication to link a control system with a pneumatic actuator. It accepts a two-wire 4-20 mA signal and delivers a proportional pneumatic output to position the valve. The unit is built to replace analog positioners on most pneumatic actuators without adapter hardware. A magnetic, non-contacting position sensor eliminates linkage wear and increases cycle life. The encapsulated electronics module withstands high vibration, temperature swings, and contaminated plant air.

Common Problems

• No communication: verify power supply, terminal voltage (9–32 VDC), and wiring on the printed wiring board.

• Valve does not fully stroke: check pneumatic tubing and supply pressure; confirm function block is in the correct mode.

• I/P converter output out of specification: possible defective module base seal, relay, or 67CFR regulator.

Replacement Models

The DVC6200 retrofits existing analog positioner installations and is a common upgrade from the DVC2000. For other brands, confirm mounting, travel, and protocol compatibility before ordering.
