Product Overview

The Tissin TS600 is an electro-pneumatic valve positioner that receives a 4-20mA DC input signal from a control room, DCS, or signal generator and proportionally adjusts the pneumatic pressure to the valve actuator, precisely controlling valve opening. It is designed for use with pneumatic linear and rotary valve actuators.

The positioner features fast response time, high accuracy, and excellent stability. Zero and span adjustment is simple. The IP66 enclosure provides strong protection against dust and moisture. Internal components are modular for easy maintenance. A built-in bypass switch (Auto/Manual) is provided. The air connection part is designed to be detachable, allowing PT/NPT tapping threads to be changed in the field.

The TS600 is available in both linear (TS600L) and rotary (TS600R) configurations. Optional features include a 4-20mA valve position transmitter, limit switches, and explosion-proof versions (Ex dmb IIB/IIC, Ex ia IIC).

Common Problems

• Positioner does not operate: Check if A/M switch is loose. Check if nozzle is clogged. Check input current wire connections.

• Valve is fully open regardless of input signal: The hole of A/M switch of pilot valve is blocked by foreign matter such as dust. Loosen the stopper screw, separate A/M switch, and clean the bottom of the hole with a 0.2mm drill or wire.

• Actuator works only with ON/OFF control but not intermediate control: For linear type, check span mounting. For rotary type, check cam mounting. Check OUT1 and OUT2 pipeline connections.

• Hunting occurs: Actuator volume may be too low. Install the orifice (included in package) at OUT1 and OUT2 on the bottom of the pilot valve. Also check for high temperature, high pressure, or large frictional force on valve stem.

• Linearity is poor: Check zero and span settings. Verify input pressure is constant. Check lever installation.

• Hysteresis is bad: Check connection of lever spring. Tighten the connection to remove the gap.
