Product Overview

Introducing the AUMA SA Series, a multi-turn electric actuator engineered for open-close and positioning tasks on gate valves, globe valves, and similar multi-turn valves. It delivers dependable torque transmission, precise limit and torque switching, and covers a torque range from 10 Nm to 32,000 Nm to match various valve sizes and process demands.

SA-type actuators for open-close duty are rated Class A and B or short-time duty S2 – 15 min. An optional S2 – 30 min version is offered for longer running periods. These actuators pair with a variety of controls, from basic OPEN-CLOSE units to micro-controlled versions with operating data logging or a fieldbus interface.

Limit and torque sensing come as standard. Motor choices include 3-phase AC, 1-phase AC, and DC. A handwheel enables manual operation. The IP68 enclosure per EN 60529 delivers high-quality corrosion protection (KS) and operates within -30°C to +70°C. Output drive types conform to DIN and ISO standards.

• Mechanical position indicator cannot be set: The reduction gearing may not suit the actuator's turns/stroke. Replace the reduction gearing.

• Actuator runs to end stop although limit switches work properly: Check limit switch settings and end position configuration.

• Motor winding temperature too high: Review actuator sizing. Confirm the duty cycle matches the application. Correct sizing if needed.
