The FIELDVUE DVC6200 digital valve controller can be furnished with a stainless steel module base, housing and an all-stainless mounting kit as an alternative to painted instruments. The sealed terminal box isolates field wiring connections from other areas of the instrument, protecting electronic components from water and harsh atmospheres. The stainless steel version eliminates all diecast aluminum parts, significantly enhancing resistance to corrosive environments found in offshore platforms, chemical plants, and refinery processing units.

Standard steel fasteners including bonnet bolting, actuator casing bolting, and Fisher instrument fasteners feature NCF (non-corroding finish) coating. Developed by Emerson Automation Solutions, this polymer-based multi-layer coating provides exceptional resistance to corrosion from acids, bases, salts, and various chemicals, meeting ASTM F1136 standards.

NCF coating appears silver or gray with a dull finish compared to zinc plating. This proprietary solution has proven effective in offshore platform testing and accelerated laboratory salt-spray tests. NCF coated fasteners remain maintainable after exposure and are exclusively available from Emerson Automation Solutions (not recommended for temperatures exceeding 427°C/800°F).
